Dipsy (Slendytubbies) (2025)

Dipsy is a reoccuring antagonist in the Slendytubbies series. After getting killed by an infected Tinky Winky, the infection takes over him as well, turning him into a headless killer. He finds a chainsaw and makes it to a military base far away from Tubbyland, killing all of the workers inside.

He is voiced by Sean Toman.

Appearance[]

Normally, Dipsy is a lime green Teletubby with a gray tv screen in his stomach and a spike for his antenna.

Chainsaw Dipsy is similar, though he lacks his head, and is covered in blood. He wields a light orange chainsaw.

Lake Dipsy is much different than his previous incarnations, being fish-like and much taller. He has long claws, spikes along his arms and legs, a piranha-like mouth, and small, beady red eyes.

Biography[]

Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Tinky Winky and Po are four Teletubbies being isolated from the rest of society and kept in a large field known as Tubbyland, unknowingly being studied as experiments. One day, deciding that Teletubbies are made to be violent weapons, the four's cleaning AI Noo-Noo poisons their Tubby custard machine with a virus that would mutate them into killing machines.

Tinky Winky is the first to fall victim to this infection, sneaking out at night as he succumbs to it. Po is woken up by this, and the player has the option of waking up Dipsy and Laa-Laa to help look for him. If woken up, Dipsy says he'll stay behind while the other two look in case Tinky comes back, though either way stays inside. While the player searches for Tinky Winky, the purple Teletubby returns to the dome, killing Dipsy by tearing his head off. While the infected tubby chases Po, she briefly runs into the dome, where she sees Dipsy's decapitated body before running back out.

Much later, The Guardian - the one who was monitoring the four - makes it to a satellite station to call the military for help in dealing with the infection. When he gets their, he finds that most of its workers are dead, with the only survivor, named Ron, describing a headless green tubby with a chainsaw as the one responsible for the massacre. While The Guardian searches the station, Chainsaw Dipsy comes back for Ron, brutally murdering him just off screen. As The Guardian continues, he starts to hallucinate the four tubbies before they were infected, before the vision of Dipsy turns fades out and reveals his current state. He then gives chase, and The Guardian lures him to a security laser. Upon touching it, an explosion is set off, killing Dipsy for the time being and allowing The Guardian to take his chainsaw. Afterwards, he is not seen again in the story mode.

In both Collect and Versus mode, Chainsaw Dipsy appears as the main enemy of the Custard Facility at night, and is the boss of the area in Survival mode. In the first two modes, he moves toward whichever custard is closest to the player and begins to patrol. One the player gets within close proximity, he'll give chase until his target gets a certain distance, attacking when he gets too close. His attacks are slow, though are hard to avoid due to the cramped area.

In Survival mode, he has 11560 health and 60 damage. He also has two projectile attacks: Fire Toss and Fire Blast. Fire Toss causes a row of flames to erupt from the ground, ignoring obstacles and having the ability to damage players repeatedly. Fire Blast will have Dipsy either encircle himself in fire, or launch fireballs into the air, after which they'll crash down around him.

Lake Dipsy is the main enemy of the Lake in Collect and Versus, and the boss in Survival. He functions similarly in their first two modes, though he has quicker attacks that are easier to avoid due to the area being more open. Survival mode Lake Dipsy has 11560 heath and 40 damage. He also has one projectile attack - Water Shot - a projectile sent straight for the player that explodes on contact, dealing minor splash damage.

Trivia[]

• It's unknown how Chainsaw Dipsy is able to see the player without a head, seeing as Laa-Laa is rendered completely blind after having her eyes scratched out, meaning the infection doesn't restore lost senses.
• He is the only one of the four main Teletubbies to not mutate during the game's story mode.
• Lake Dipsy can be heard speaking in the Lake's ambiance, making him one of three infected Teletubbies still capable of speech; the other two being Tinky Winky and Yeti Tubby. However, his lines have not yet been deciphered.
